Nine residents stepped up to express an interest in guiding future policies for the Ferguson-Florissant School District by submitting declarations of candidacy for the Board of Education. Filing closed Jan. 18.

The three-year terms of board members Les Lentz, James Clark and Doris A. Graham expire in April All three  are seeking another term.

In order of filing, the candidates include:

*Doris Ann Graham

Vanessa Hawkins

Brian Scott Ebert

*Les D. Lentz

Paul T. Morris

Joseph Hosea

Robert Chabot

Chris Martinez

*James Clark (denote incumbent)

Candidates are required to be: A citizen of the United States, at least 24 years old, a resident taxpayer of the school district and a resident of the state of Missouri for at least one year

The annual election for the Board of Education is Tuesday, April 5.
