Your Mother Could Be the Valley of Flowers Parade Marshal for 2011
Would you like to see your mother become the 2011 Valley of Flowers Parade Marshal on Sunday, May 8th? The Valley of Flowers Board of Directors will be picking a winner in a random drawing on March 9.
Submit a 50 word essay titled “My Mother Is Special Because…”
The winner will be invited to the Pre-Parade party with local dignitaries and provided with the vehicle and all signage in which to lead the parade.
The 2011 theme will be “Valley of Flowers Mothers Love…”
Parade entries are sought that will feature all of the things a mother loves whether it is their family, to travel, read, sew, garden, gamble, cook, theatre, etc.
Essays must including: Mother’s name, address, phone number, and submitted by.
Your mother must be at least 18 years old and available to ride in the parade on May 8.
Entries will be accepted online at www.florissantvalleyofflowers.com or mail to the Valley of Flowers office at 601 rue St. Charles, Florissant, MO 63031. Entries must be received by March 2. For additional information call 314-837-0033.
