Hazelwood Hosts 9th Annual Martin Luther King Tribute
The Hazelwood Community Enrichment Commission will be hosting its 9th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Tribute on Sunday, Jan. 16, at 7 p.m. The event will be held at Civic Center East, located at 8969 Dunn Road in Hazelwood
The Rev. Sammie Jones of Mount Zion Baptist Church will be headlining the program as the keynote speaker. Other featured speakers include Ms. Ruth Smith, a representative of the Missouri State Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Celebration Commission, and Mayor Matthew Robinson of Hazelwood.
Music and entertainment will be provided by Adrienne Felton and The Liturgical Dancers of the Antioch Baptist Church. Reverend Jones will lead the audience in a memorial candlelighting ceremony at the end of the program. Refreshments will be served afterwards.
The Community Enrichment Commission is a 501(3)(c) not-for-profit organization that promotes the arts, beautification, literacy and cultural diversity in the City of Hazelwood.
