The City of Black Jack joined forces with Jamestown Mall and the St. Louis County Police Department for the annual Children’s Cookies with Santa event in Decmember at  Jamestown Mall.

There were visits with Santa, along with gifts, cookies, and crafts. The highlight of the event was giving away six bicycles and two scooters, personal donated by Mayor Norm McCourt and the Black Jack City Council. Attendance was down this year due to incoming inclement weather, but still everyone involved in the event had a wonderful time.

City officials are pleased to  have a cooperative working relationship with Jamestown Mall for many of the city events, because City Hall facilities cannot accommodate the large crowds due to fire code regulations.

Mayor Norm McCourt, of the City of Black Jack said, “”This year’s Children’s Holiday Party was an absolute success based on the smiles of the children in attendance. Through the partnership’s we have developed, and the generosity of the City Officials in providing the prizes, this event is unique in North County.”
