Participants Sought For Old Town Fall Festival Set for Sunday, Oct. 10

Florissant Old Town Partners will hold the 13th annual Florissant Old Town Fall Festival on Sunday, Oct. 10, from noon-5 p.m.

The festival will include:

• Chili cook-off

• Live entertainment

• Fido Follies

• Children’s activities and an art festival, chaired by the Northern Arts Council

• Flower show and competition

• Celebration of the area’s Spanish, French, German and Irish cultural heritage

• Craft fair and flea market

• Food and display booths and a wine and cheese garden

• Military vehicles, antique tractors and lawn mowers

A French area, at St. Ferdinand Shrine, will have food, a potter, bread oven, flint knapper, petting zoo, and historical games.

Musical entertainment will include the Dixie Rhythm Kings, The Auberrys, Dan Sproat, Spanish, German and Irish music on every block of the festival.

The Missouri Art’s Council and the Regional Arts Council will sponsor Memories of Elvis, featuring Steve Davis with Double Trouble and The Mid-South Revival Band. Performances will be held at 1 and 3 p.m. on the band shell on the Lawyers Building lot in the 100 block of rue St. Francois.

Organizers are seeking participants for the flea market, craft fair, food and game booths, informational booths for not-for-profit organizations, commercial businesses, musicians and sponsorships.
