The Florissant Rotary Club is celebrating its 50^th anniversary with a party on Saturday, April 10 at Yacovelli’s Restaurant. The Rotary was chartered in 1960.

Over the years, the Florissant Rotary Club has donated over four million dollars to local and international charities. Contributions have been made to the local YMCA of $50,000 for its building, and to Marygrove with remodeling and a room addition, along with continued yearly support.

Land was purchased for the Florissant Valley Sheltered Workshop and also the Rotary continues yearly financial support.

The Florissant Rotary Trust Fund  Scholarship loan program was developed and has provided funds for various projects all over the world.

The Rotary has answered “Dream Come True” wishes of 25 critically ill children, and provided medical equipment to various hospitals in the community. It has supported numerous community projects and gave assistance to individuals that needed  help.
