Convergys Adding 200 New Jobs for Contact Center in Hazelwood
Convergys Corporation (NYSE: CVG), a global leader in relationship management, has announced it will host a series of Job Fairs to fill 200 full-time positions at its contact center in Hazelwood, Mo. Convergys is currently the second largest employer in the City of Hazelwood with 1,215 employees.
“We’re glad to hear about Convergys’ plans to add 200 full-time employees to its workforce in Hazelwood. This will have a positive impact because adding that many new jobs is like bringing in another major business into our community,” said Mayor Matthew G. Robinson of the City of Hazelwood. “We encourage local residents who may have lost their jobs to apply for these new positions because they may enjoy working for a global company where opportunities for career growth and development are available.”
Convergys will be hosting Job Fairs on the following days: March 2; March 9; and March 16. Interested candidates should visit the Convergys contact center, located at 41 Village Square Shopping Center in Hazelwood, on those dates between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. They can also apply online at www.convergys.com/careers. The new employees will provide outbound sales support for a client in the landscaping industry.
“The addition of a new client at our Hazelwood site has provided an employment opportunity for some local job seekers,” said Brian Campbell, site leader for the Convergys facility in Hazelwood. “And, because we are part of a global company, there also are opportunities for career growth and development as well.”
Convergys offers employees comprehensive training, competitive wages plus incentives, and benefits including medical and dental insurance, tuition reimbursement, 401(k), and paid and unpaid time off. Two weeks of paid training for these positions will begin in March. A variety of shift times are available.
Those applying for these jobs should possess solid sales experience, strong computer/keyboarding skills and the ability to work flexible hours. Employment with Convergys is contingent on a successful background check.
