Trinity Catholic High School took first place in the Small School Division at the Academic Challenge Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering contest at McKendree University.

The team  advances to the Sectionals at Florissant Valley Community College on March 4.

Winning individual awards:

Seniors Alana Schlemmer 1^st Chemistry, 3^rd in Math; Ryan Mircsov 1^st Engineering Graphics, 3^rd Chemistry; Tim Fries 1^st Engineering Graphics, 3^rd Computer Science; Matt Juengst 3^rd Chemistry; and Ben Batzer (1^st English);

Juniors David Krafft (2^nd Engineering Graphics, 3^rd Physics), Amanda Lewandowski (2^nd English), Ellen Hilmes (2^nd Math), Brett Turnbough  (3^rd Physics) and Ed Ross (2^nd Physics);

Sophomores Connor Walsh (1^st Computer Science and 2^nd in Chemistry) and Rachel Hunt f (3^rd in Math)

Freshmen Mike Taylor (3^rd in Biology) and Anna Duban (3^rd in English).
