Get ready for North County’s largest event, the 49th Annual Leadership Breakfast on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m, at the Marriott St. Louis Airport. Sponsorships and individual tickets are available now on our website.

At the North County Incorporated Annual Breakfast on Friday, May 8, 2026, we will present awards to individuals who have shown a strong commitment to the North St. Louis County region through their business, civic, and/or humanitarian acts. We need your help identifying these key individuals, businesses, and organizations.

Nominations are due no later than Monday, March 2, 2026 (incomplete applications will not be considered). Awards will be presented in five categories:

The Elmer Belsha Leadership Award is presented to an individual who has a positive impact on the North County Inc. and the North County community.

Business Development Awards are presented to those individuals, businesses, organizations whose efforts have positively affected the economic development and business climate of the North County area.

Community Development Awards are presented to those individuals, businesses, organizations whose efforts positively benefit residents, youth and civic organizations.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Awards recognize individuals or organizations showcasing exemplary dedication to diversity and equity initiatives while promoting a culture of inclusion.

Public Service Awards are presented to individuals, elected, appointed, or employed by a public body whose long-time service has had a positive impact on the community and/or public body they serve.

 

McBride Homes to bring 178 new homes to North County

St. Louis County’s Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority, the city of Wellston, and the St. Louis County Port Authority on Wednesday announced the selection of developers to add 178 new homes in Wellston and surrounding areas, including Pagedale.

The homes will be built on 25.08 acres of publicly-controlled land in Wellston’s Lulu Heights neighborhood, officials said. St. Louis-based homebuilder McBride Homes and two St. Louis-based nonprofits, Community Impact Network and Beyond Housing, were selected for the development through a joint request for proposals. Boeing Returns Defense Headquarters to St. Louis

Leaders from Boeing announced on Feb. 18th that they are officially moving the headquarters of Boeing Defense, Space & Security to St. Louis. Boeing serves as a major economic engine in St. Louis, employing over 18,000 people and supporting an additional 34,000 regional jobs. Beyond its workforce, the company invests $750 million annually across 350 local suppliers and maintains a strong community presence through $13 million in yearly charitable donations. Article.
