FESTIVAL & 5K RUN IS COMING BACK

Event coming Event Back Stronger After 2024 Tornado

Mayor Tim Lowery has announced that the Florissant Saint Patrick’s Parade

Committee is hosting the 5th annual Florissant St. Patrick’s Parade, Festival & 5K Run on Sunday, March 15.

After the cancellation last year due to the March 14 tornado that hit Florissant, it is very heartwarming to see the community come back so strong, the mayor said. This year, there will be more vendors, more parade entries, more runners in the 5k, and more to do than ever before!

The 5k run and walk will start at 8:45 a.m. at the Old St. Ferdinand Shrine located at 1 rue St. Francois. The route will again run through beautiful Old Town Florissant and loop   around St. Patrick Lane.

The St. Patrick’s Parade will start at 12 p.m. beginning at both Bangert Park located at 275 S. New Florissant Road and Duchesne Elementary at 100 S. New Florissant Road and end at the Duchesne Home Association Grounds (formerly Knights of Columbus).

This year’s Parade Marshal will be Brian McHugh, who is the Assistant Chief of Operations for the Florissant Valley Fire Protection District.

The festival will start at 1 p.m. and end at 6:00 p.m. and will be held at the Duchesne Home Association Grounds (KOC). There will be live Irish music, corned beef and cabbage dinners by the Knights of Columbus, cold beverages, food trucks, Irish dancers, a petting zoo, local vendors, and plenty of other family-friendly activities and entertainment again.

Mayor Lowery added, “I really appreciate the hard work and commitment the committee members have done in getting everything planned and organized. Especially after having to cancel last year’s event. We are proud to partner with the Florissant St. Patrick’s Day Committee.
