Saint Louis County Offers Christmas Tree Recycling at 4 county Parks

Take Christmas trees to Spanish Lake County Park

Saint Louis County Parks and Recreation and the Missouri Department of Conservation have teamed up once again to
offer the public a program to recycle their unwanted, natural-cut Christmas trees through
Sunday, January 19, 2025.
Some of the trees will be sunk by MDC in lakes throughout the St. Louis County Parks & Recreation system to create fish habitats. Any trees that cannot be sunk will be mulched.
Residents can drop off their undecorated, natural-cut Christmas trees at one of four
County Parks locations during park hours (dawn to dusk):
• Spanish Lake Park – 12500 Spanish Pond Road, 63138 – Main parking lot by the
lake
• Creve Coeur Lake Memorial Park – 13777 Marine Avenue, 63146 – Sailboat Cove
parking lot
• Queeny Park – 550 Weidman Road, 63011 – Corporate parking lot off Weidman
near the Complex
• Bee Tree Park – 2701 Finestown Avenue, 63129 – Lake parking lot
All trees must be cleared of tinsel, ornaments, lights, and decorations before they are
accepted by Parks operation staff. Only trees from residential homes will be accepted.
In addition, you can bring your old holiday lights to Winter Wonderland at Tilles Park
through January 26, 2025, and the County will recycle them for you! Look for the
collection drop-off near the entrance to the park.
