Medal of Valor Awards: Recipients Include Florissant Police Officer Kirk Lawless’ 21 Will be Honored on Nov. 18

The annual Medal of Valor awards will be presented to 21 recipients from the St. Louis region including Florissant Police Officer Kirk Lawless. The luncheon and awards ceremony will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 18, at noon, at the Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark.

The keynote speaker is Missouri Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder and the master of ceremony is Karen Foss from Ameren UE.

This year’s recipients are:

Florissant Police Department-Police Officer Kirk Lawless; Moline Acres PD-Officer Derrick Sutton, Officer Charles Dawson, Sr., and Det. Sgt. David BoBo; O’Fallon, Mo. PD-Officer Michael Doerge, Sr. and Officer Charles Niel; St. Louis County PD-Officer Daniel Brinkman, Officer Jacob Maechling and Det. Kurt Hauser; MSHP Troop C-Trooper Timothy Craig;

Mo. Dept. of Conservation-Agent Robert Sulkowski, Jr.; St. Louis Metropolitan PD-Officer Duane Hollinshed, Officer Matt Simpson, Sgt. Harvey Burnett, Officer David Calcaterra, Sgt. Scott Boyber, Officer Craig Robertson, Officer Edgar Stegall, Det. Frank Williams, Det. Solomon Thurman and Officer Ishmael Tyson.

Mayor Robert Lowery is seeking the community’s suport to show their appreciation for the “brave men and women who risk their lives so that we are all protected and can live in a safety community.”
