The 2024 Senior New Year’s Eve Dance

Will be held at New Senior Center at JFK

A short time after th seniors popped the bubbly and sang farewell to 2023 at 12 noon at the James Eagan Center Dec. 31, Senior Center director Peggy Hogan had some news about the 2024 New Year’s Eve event and more daytime dances during the new year.

The Florissant Senior Center was moving to new offices at the JFK Center at 315 Howdershell Road and next year’s dance will be held there, same time 10-2, same band (St. Charles Big Band) most of the same events that has been so successfully at the James Eagan Center the past few decades..

She also announced, after hearing from many seniors who liked to dance, the city will host five daytime dances in 2024 at JFK Center,   on Feb. 15, April 18, June 20, Aug. 15 and Nov. 17 from 1-3 p.m, Tickets are $8 for residents and $13 for non-residents

Also planned this summer is a big patriotic USO event that will feature Sentimental Journey Dance Band one day only Thursday , July 11 from 1-5 p.m. “Whether you liked to dance or just want to sit and enjoy the beautiful music of the best big band in St. Louis, “ said Hogan. Tickets are $35 for residents $40 for non-residents and will be on sale starting June 30 at the Florissant Senior Center now located at JFK Center., (phone 314-839-7605)
