Veronica Place for 55+ Residents
Unveiled in Florissant July 26
Representatives of the City of Florissant, STRAQR Investment Funds, the Greater North County Chamber of Commerce, PMR Companies LLC and Rev. Lijo Kallarackal, incoming pastor of St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Florissant, will unveil Veronica Place located at 1425 N. New Florissant Road
Florissant’s newest apartment community, exclusively for active 55+ residents, iocated near the entrance to Old Town Florissant. Veroinica Place features the first purpose-built indoor pickleball court in North St. Louis County. The 78 market-rate apartments are attractive to residents who want to age in place within one of the few St. Louis area communities with a dedicated senior department.
About 28% of Florissant’s 53,000 residents are 55 or older. Current rental rates start at $750/month for one-bedroom units and $1,050/month for two-bedroom apartments.
The vitality of Florissant attracted STRAQR Investment Funds’ recent $6.5 million investment in the 78 apartments at Veronica Place and 85 independent living apartments at St. Catherine Retirement Community, located two miles apart. Both properties were acquired in December 2022. The city’s growing younger population and rising home values with the stability of two-, three- and four-generation families in a diverse community are propelling Florissant’s progress.
Brief remarks, a blessing ceremony and ribbon-cutting will be followed by tours of the community, which includes North St. Louis’ County first purpose-built indoor pickleball court. Interviews are available with Florissant Mayor Tim Lowery; owner representatives Kurt Hunter, a partner in Strategic Advisors LLC, and STRAQR Director Of Acquisitions Kevin Limbert; Tiffany Perry, community director at both Veronica Place and St. Catherine Retirement Community, and initial residents (and pickleball players) at Veronica Place.
