2 Ramps opening for I-270, another closing for 3 months

MoDOT to open I-270 ramps at West Florissant Ave.

and Washington St./Elizabeth Ave. May 19

   Drivers who regularly travel westbound I-270 in North St. Louis County should be aware that the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will open two new ramps on Friday, May 19, at 3 p.m., weather permitting.

  -The reconstructed entrance ramp to westbound I-270 at West Florissant Avenue will open. The new ramp provides drivers more room to enter and exit the highway safely.

  -A new exit ramp from westbound I-270 at Washington Street/Elizabeth Avenue is also scheduled to open. It is approximately one-half mile east of the current ramp location. It will replace the existing exit ramp, which will be closed shortly after the new ramp is opened.

   Both ramp completions are part of MoDOT’s $278 million I-270 North Project’s overall strategy to improve safety within the I-270 North corridor. MoDOT to close westbound I-270 entrance Ramp

 at New Halls Ferry Rd. for 3 months starting May 22

Drivers who regularly access westbound I-270 near New Halls Ferry Road should be aware that the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will close the entrance ramp for three months beginning

Monday, May 22 at 5 a.m., weather permitting.

This ramp closure will allow crews to safely reconstruct the ramp. Once completed, the newly constructed ramp will give drivers more room to enter the highway. Drivers can detour by traveling Dunn Road to

West Florissant Avenue and accessing the westbound I-270 entrance ramp near West Florissant Avenue. https://www.modot.org/node/28653
