Hazelwood Cancels Harvestfest

Hazelwood Waited as Long as They Could;

First Time Festival has been Canceled

Due to the ongoing complications stemming from the COVID-19 and coronavirus pandemic, the City of Hazelwood has made the difficult decision to cancel its Harvestfest for 2020.

St. Louis County has established a maximum limit of 50 persons for all events, regardless of whether the event is indoors or outdoors, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With this size limitation and with the increased possibility of transmission of the virus, the City cannot safely hold its annual Harvestfest this year. This is the first time since its inception that the event has been canceled.

Hazelwood waited as long as possible to determine if holding Harvestfest was feasible in the event the maximum crowd capacity was lifted or increased. With the small crowd size and proximity to the event, it is not practical to find entertainment, ride and food vendors, and the volunteers necessary to ensure a safe and enjoyable event.

The city plans to bring the event back in 2021.
