Valley of Flowers Postponed

 

Will be Re-scheduled on Later Date

Following a meeting on Monday of key Florissant officials,it was decided to postpone the city’s Valley of Flowers Festival. They indicated that more information will available , when a new day is determined.

The March 23 meeting included: Mayor Tim Lowery, Police Chief Tim Fagan, Laurie Lowery, president of the Valley of Flowers organization; Cheryl Thompson-Stimage, Parks & Recreation director,; Brian Paladin, theatre manager; Andy Schoendist, president of Luehrs’ Ideal Rides and members from the Knights of Columbus. They were meeting to discuss the upcoming Valley of Flowers Festival.

Due to the on-going COVID-19 situation and with the current mandates in place from the governor’s office and from the St. Louis County Executive office it was decided in the best interest in everyone’s health, safety and well-being that this year’s 58th Annual Valley of Flowers will be postponed from it’s originally dates of May 1,2 and 3 and be re-scheduled at a later date.
