Valley of Flowers 2007: Children’s Celebration of Performing Arts
The Children’s Celebration of Performing Arts is a fun-filled, exciting family oriented event Friday, May 4 and Saturday, May 5 in Florissant Valley Park (grounds of the James J. Eagan Center). There is no admission fee charged for all performances, concerts, strolling entertainers, puppet shows, hands-on arts and craft activities, recreational games and a wide array of events filled with audience participation!
Two large production tents, the “Theatre” and “Music” stages will have performances beginning alternately hourly with performers doing “walk-about” shows during the day on Saturday. Young people will have abundant opportunities to enhance their festival visit with hands-on arts and crafts projects, recreational games, demonstrations and plenty of space to just play and have fun using their own imagination.
A Missouri Arts Council Festival grant, financial assistance from the Regional Arts Commission, the City of Florissant, Florissant Fine Arts Council, a Target Stores grant, the Valley of Flowers Festival Committee and donations from many local area businesses has allowed the FCC Theatre to coordinate this “Children’s Celebration of Performing Arts.”
