Cathy Bono Named North County Chamber’s ‘Citizen of the Year’

The North County Chamber of Commerce has named Cathy Bono, administrator of Delmar Gardens North, as its Citizen of the Year. She will receive the award at an event held in her honor on April 19 at Norwood Hills Country Club.

Although her career with Delmar Gardens extends over 29 years, the last 19 have been at Delmar Gardens North.

Bono has been involved with the YMCA, Soroptomist International of North County, Black Jack Business Association, the Alzheimer’s Association, North County Inc., and the St. Louis County Ambulance Commission.

She currently serves on the North County Chamber board of directors. Bono has either chaired or co-chaired the Citizen of the Year event for the last two years. She created the Ms. Missouri Nursing Home Pageant and the Golden Age Games. She has been named Member of the Year, Administrator of the Year, and has received the Missouri Health Care Association’s Life Service Award. She volunteers often for TEAM food pantry on Saturday mornings.

Bono is a life-long North County resident. She attended Nativity School, Laboure, and Florissant Valley Community College. She is a member of Sacred Heart Parish.
