Gold’s Gym Opens Facility; Plans New 40,000 sq. ft. Gym in Florissant

Gold’s Gym International, the most recognized name in fitness, has announced plans to open a new, cutting-edge facility in Florissant. In the meantime, a temporary Gold’s Gym facility has opened at 7927 Lindbergh Blvd.

Upon its completion, the new 40,000 square foot Gold’s Gym Florissant facility will provide members with the latest strength training equipment, circuit training rooms, a lap pool, a full-length basketball court, spinning studio, a cardio-cinema room, spacious locker rooms and a Kids’ Club with activities and games for children of all ages.

“The residents of the St. Louis area have been incredibly supportive and we’re looking forward to providing them with another premier fitness experience,” said Gene LaMott, president and CEO of Gold’s Gym International. “This new facility will showcase our evolution from traditional gym to full-service fitness club and offer something for everyone. It will combine the best resources in the industry with our 41 years of experience delivering life-changing results.”

The Florissant Gold’s Gym will include the award-winning Gold’s Gym Group Exercise classes (GGX) as well as Pilates, yoga and kickboxing. With highly certified fitness and nutrition experts on hand to work with people of all levels, members will also be able to take advantage of the best personal training program in the industry.

A temporary 10,000 square foot facility located at 7927 Lindbergh Blvd. opened its doors Oct. 17 with special membership discounts for families, couples and individuals. Residents will enjoy access to a full line of cardio, strength and circuit training equipment while the main facility is under construction. The main 40,000 square foot Gold’s Gym fitness facility will be located off Highway 270 on North Lindbergh Blvd. is scheduled to open in the Spring of 2007.
