‘Friday Night Flicks’ New to . . .

Hazelwood Parks; Starts May 31

Gather the family or bring a date to the “Friday Night Flicks” offered by the Hazelwood Parks & Recreation Division. Watch a favorite movie under the stars in a city park or at a sports venue. Admission is free and open to the public. But donations to help offset the costs will be appreciated.

Bring lawn chairs, blankets, snacks and refreshments. Glass containers, however, are prohibited. Concessions will be available at the Sports Complex on July 26.

The movies will start at dusk when its dark enough to see the screen. In the event of bad weather, the movies will be shown at either Civic Center East (CCE) or the Hazelwood Community Center (HCC).

Below is a list of the movies and locations for this year’s Friday Night Flicks program.

Friday May 31; Howdershell Park; ‘Mary Poppins Returns’; CCE

Friday June 28; Queen Ann Park; ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’; HCC

Friday July 26; Sports Complex; ‘Angels in the Outfield’; HCC

An additional two (2) Dive-In Movies will be shown at Hazelwood’s White Birch Bay Aquatic Center. There will be a $4 admission fee for these events.

No outside food/drinks allowed. Food trucks will be on site at the Aquatic Center for the showing of ‘Moana’ on July 12. Plus, concessions will be available at the Aquatic Center on Aug. 2.
