Florissant American Legion Post 444 Baseball teams did not enjoy 2009 especially in District 10.

If it was not for Oakville the Post 444 junior and/or senior teams would have gone winless in District 10. Both senior and junior legion teams compete in the North Division of District 10.
Senior Legion was 5-11 overall prior to July 12 and was 1-7 in District 10. They were 4-1 in May with two wins over AmVetsSenior. Since then Post 444 senior legion went 1-10 winning their only District 10 game of the season, 5-1 over Oakville on June 30.

Prior to July 11 Nick Viviano was batting .467, had an on-base percentage of .510, and his slugging percentage was .556 with 25 total bases, 21 hits including 18 singles and drove in 10 runs. C.J. Spink has scored at least 14 runs on 16 hits including 13 singles and has walked five times. Greg Elliott has scored 11 runs on 12 hits including 11 singles, walked six times and has driven in 11 runs. Pat McDonald has also walked six times.

Ricky Cody, prior to July 11, has two wins, most by any pitcher, with a 2.08 earned run average with 56 strikeouts. Post 444 Senior team, coach by Frank Viviano, has not hit a home run but has allowed only one opponent home run prior to July 11.

Junior Legion completed their season July 8 with a 2-11 record, which includes losing the final 10 in a row, and was 1-7 in District 10. Post 444 opened the season May 23 with a 12-7 win over District 10 rival Kirkwood in a non-league game in Jackson, Mo. And their only District 10 win came June 1, 10-0 over Oakville.

The junior legion team is coached by Zach Callahan.
