City of Florissant logo   The Florissant City Council said goodbye to a long-time member and swore in his replacement at the meeting last week. Councilman Tim Lee decided not to run for re-election. Andrew Harris won the seat and was sworn in. Four other council members also ran for re-election, all unopposed. They are Joseph Eagan, Keith Schildroth, Jackie Pagano and Tommy Siam. They were also sworn-in to office.

“I just want to say that it’s been an honor and privilege to serve the residents of Florissant for these past 15 years,” Lee said. He said he wanted to thank the residents for letting him represent them. The council passed a resolution honoring Lee for his years of service

The council also held a public hearing at the meeting about a request for a special use permit by Erika Sharp. She would like to open Feel Sharp Massage Therapy in a HB – Historic Business District at 525 rue St. Francois.

Sharp would be the only massage therapist working. She would be open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Councilman Gerard Henke asked if the business would be appointment only. Sharp said that it would be.

No one spoke in opposition to the building, and the council had a first reading on the bill that would allow the business.
