Mayor Robert Lowery, Sr. has been appointed to the Community Development and Housing Committee and the Tourism, Arts, Parks, Entertainment and Sports Committee for the U.S. Conference of Mayors.

The conference is the official nonpartisan organization of cities with populations of 30,000 or more.
