Upon approving the agreement on March 14, Board President Rob Chabot and FFNEA President Lori Sammelmann immediately signed the agreement into action.

“The purpose of this agreement is to maintain mutually beneficial working relations rooted in trust and open and honest communications between the district and its employees,” said school Supt. Joseph Davis.

The agreement, which is the culmination of over a year’s work, will establish and maintain rates of pay and conditions of employment, provide appropriate procedures for the prompt resolution of grievances and problems, as well as recognize the mutual value of joint discussion, consultation, and negotiation. Administration and FFNEA discussed several policies related to instructional and operational issues.

“I commend the district leaders and staff who worked tirelessly to develop this Collective Bargaining Agreement,” said Superintendent Davis. “The parties share a mutual responsibility in recognizing that the principal consideration at all times is the welfare and quality of education of students.”
