Hazelwood District Hosts Workshops on Redistricting

hazelwood school district logo redo   As the Hazelwood School District begins to lay the foundation for a possible redistricting project, first, they would like to engage students, parents, staff, and members of the community.

To give a sense of timing on the redistricting project: 2017-2018 school year is for planning and engagement; 2018-2019 decisions made on boundary changes, and 2019-2020 students will transition to new schools as needed.

The District will host a series of community engagement workshops in 2018 to share and receive feedback from district residents. Community engagement workshops will take place on the following dates:

• Saturday, Jan. 20,  9-11 a.m.    East Early Childhood Center

• Tuesday, Jan. 23, 6-8 p.m.  Hazelwood Central High School, 15875 New Halls Ferry Rd.

• Monday, Feb. 5, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Hazelwood West High School, #1 Wildcat Lane

• Wednesday, Feb. 7, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Hazelwood East High School, 11300 Dunn Road

Due to limited space, individuals should attend one workshop, which will allow space for more community members to participate. Engagement workshops are open to the entire community, no need to RSVP.
