The Independence Day celebration of events got off with a big bang at Delmar Gardens North./Garden Villas North campus on Parker Road with the annual family-friendly event for residents and the community on Monday, June 26.

The complimentary event features live music

, games kids events. food, desserts and beverages prior to the grand fireworks display just after dark. The Delmar Gardens Family of retirement communities has been sponsoring this event for over 25 years for the public and residents.

Ferguson Celebration July 1

County continue in Ferguson on Saturday, July 1 as Ferguson Celebrates National Landmarks with all day activities culminating in the annual fireworks display at January Wabash Park.

The parade starts at 10 on Paul & So. Florissant Rd. and heads north to January-Wabash Memorial Park. In the Bandshell Area, Edick’s Way will play from 2 to 5, followed by the Forestwood Boys from 6 to 9.

The children’s area will feature a petting zoo, pony rides, bounce house and crafts with the Ferguson Public Library from noon to 7. There will also be racing pigs every other hour after 1. The January-Wabash fireworks spectacular will begin at 9:15.

Hazelwood July 4^th Fireworks

Hazelwood will host a 4^th of July fireworks event at White Birch Park around 9:15. This is the sixth time Hazelwood has partnered with J & M Displays Inc. for July 4^th festivities. This year, the company plans to use 4,800 effects choreographed to patriotic music. New effects include alternating green/gold/purple crossettes which are Z-shaped multi-shot units.

In the event rain postpones the display, plans are to reschedule for the fifth. For more information, contact (314) 731-0980.

Florissant’s July 4^th

Florissant’s Independence Day celebration continues this year at the James J. Eagan Civic Center at Florissant Valley Park. It will kick off with an outdoor concert performance by Northwinds Concert Band at 7:30, with fireworks starting at 9:15.
