Rose Philippine Duchesne 3rd Grade Present Famous African Americans
In celebration of Black History Month, Mrs. Driskill’s third-grade students at St. Rose Phillippine Duchesne each researched a famous African American and presented a report to fellow students on that person’s life and accomplishments.
Students created posters with pictures and highlights, and made an oral presentation as if they were the famous African American. Many used props and dressed as their subject. They learned about musicians, inventors, writers, athletes, activists, pilots, explorers and more.
