North County Inc. Seeks Nominees To Honor Community Leaders Those Making a Difference in North County
As part of the organization’s 40th Annual Leadership Breakfast celebration, North County Incorporated (NCI) will recognize area leaders for making a significant positive impact in North St. Louis County. The event will be held on Friday, May 19, from 7:30 -9:30 a.m. at the Marriott St. Louis Airport, 10700 Pear Tree Lane. More than 600 business, civic, and community leaders will gather to honor this year’s award recipients.
North County Inc. is seeking nominations for the 2017 awards in four categories. The nomination form can be found at NorthStLouisCounty.com. Nominations can be submitted through our website, emailed to nci@northcountyinc.com, or mailed directly to the office. The nomination deadline is Friday, March 24.
Awards will be presented in four categories:
Business Development: An individual, organization, or business whose efforts positively impacted the economic development and business climate of the North St. Louis County area.
Community Development: An individual, organization, or business whose efforts positively benefited youth, residents, civic organizations, or others through selfless acts. Their contribution needs to be beyond the individual’s employment responsibilities, or a business/organization’s mission and scope of work.
Public Service Award: An outstanding individual elected, appointed, or employed by a public body whose long time service has had a positive impact on the community and/or public body they serve.
Elmer Belsha Leadership Award: An individual whose long-term commitment to North County Incorporated and the North St. Louis County area has had a positive impact.
The individual nominated must reside, own, or work for a business, organization, or institution located within the North St. Louis County region. Entries must be at least 18 years of age, and nominations must be submitted no later than Friday, March 24. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

North County Incorporated is a regional development organization, which acts as a catalyst to define and advocate economic and community development for North St. Louis County. NCI was established in 1977. The Board is composed of community leaders and business owners. Scott Negwer, President, Negwer Materials, Inc., is the current chairman of the board of directors.
