Judy Taylor Named Greater North County Chamber’s President

Judy Taylor, past co-owner of Taylor Land Management LLC in Florissant, has been named president of the Greater North County Chamber of Commerce. Judy began her duties as of August 15, 2016.

Judy succeeds Carolyn Marty, who is retiring after six years as chamber president. The chamber serves Florissant, Hazelwood, Spanish Lake, Black Jack, Ferguson, Cool Valley, Belfontaine Neighbors, and Jennings and has approximately 500 members and an operating budget of more than $240,000.

“Judy’s wealth of experience from running her own business for 17 years will directly relate and be a great addition for the Chamber office. We are confident that Judy will have great success growing this Chamber and working closely with all of our members,” said Elizabeth Wade, GNC board chair.

Judy has worked in several capacities as an owner with Taylor Land Management LLC. She has overseen day to day operations, sales on a daily basis, and handled all office procedures, financial activity, employee staffing and payroll. Taylor Land Management was voted “Best in North County” in 2015 and 2016. She was the current vice-chairman of the board and has been a member of Greater North County Chamber of Commerce since 2008. She has been a very active member and has successfully chaired many of our committees.

“Carolyn has led the way with our chamber membership, keeping it strong and vibrant in good and bad economic times. We are indebted to Carolyn for her unceasing efforts to build the chamber in the greater North County area,” said Judy. “Carolyn has laid the foundation to build on and grow in order to keep our chamber as strong as it is today.”

Judy has lived in Florissant for 21 years and has a great understanding for the North County community. She is a graduate from Loyola University, New Orleans, with a bachelor’s in business administration and a dual major in management and marketing.
