North County Meals on Wheels is desperately in need of volunteers.

Most needed at this time are:
o Drivers to deliver hot lunches
o Transporters to deliver stacks of hot lunches and coolers to drivers

A truck, van or SUV are required to transport.

Hours are generally from 11:15 a.m.-1:15 p.m., two-three days per month. Meals are delivered Monday-Friday during the noon hour.

The cost of the meal is $3.25 per meal per day. Recipients must be interviewed, and may be placed on a waiting list.

Meals on Wheels is an all-volunteer organization and receives no federal funding.
