Premiere of ‘Florissant’s
Historic Treasures’ at
Civic Center on Oct. 28
The Florissant Landmark Historic District Commission will present a premiere showing of “Florissant’s Historic Treasures” Wednesday, Oct. 28, at the James J. Eagan Center Theater. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for a 7 p.m. showing. Refreshments will be available.
This premier event features portions of a five-part series highlighting some of the historic events, buildings and places that shaped the development of Florissant. The documentary series includes five 45-minute videos that link several historic properties thematically. The topics are ‘Places of Worship,’ ‘Historic Business District,’ ‘‘Saved by Preservation,’ ‘Preservation by Relocation’ and ‘Residential Properties.’ Each show will eventually be available on YouTube and/or on demand at www.florissantmo.com. A DVD featuring all five shows will be available for check out at Florissant City Hall.
