Hazelwood West Soccer Opens Class 4,
District 5 Against Hazelwood Central

Hazelwood West Boys Soccer, which has all but wrapped up the Suburban XII Conference North Division title as of Oct. 19, will open the Class Four, District Five Tournament Oct. 26, 4 p.m. against a conference and Hazelwood School District rival.
Hazelwood West — the top seed in Class Four, District Five — will play Hazelwood Central at Pattonville High prior to the host Pirates playing second-seeded Francis Howell North at 6 p.m. The winners return to Pattonville Stadium Oct. 29 for the district title game at 6 p.m. for the right to host the Nov. 3 Sectional against the District Six winner. Should a Hazelwood School win that game could be at the James Eagan Civic Center Park.
It will be the second meeting in eight days after Hazelwood West took a 14-5 overall record, 6-0 in the Suburban North to Hazelwood Central (9-8, 4-3) for the Oct. 19 game. West, who won 4-0 at home over Central Sept. 30, wrapped up Suburban XII North play Oct 21 at McCluer then finishes their schedule Thrusday, Oct. 22, 7 p.m. at Fort Zumwalt South. Central completed its schedule Oct. 20 at North Tech.
CLASS FOUR, DISTRICT THREE — McCLUER NORTH played Oct. 27, 7 p.m against Chaminade at St. Lous University High, who opened the tourney against Ritenour at 5 p.m. The winners meet at SLUH Oct. 29, 6 p.m. for the right to host the Nov. 3 Sectional against the District Four champion.
Class Four Nov. 3 winners advance to the Nov. 7 Quarterfinals, sites to be determined after sectionals. The State Semfinals, Third-Place and Championship games are Nov. 13-14 at Word Wide Technology Soccer Park.
CLASS TWO, DISTRICT FIVE play began Oct. 21 as Lutheran North hosted Metro at the same time Trinity Catholic played 2014 State Runner Up Soldan International Studies on a second field. The winners return to Lutheran North Friday, Oct. 23, 4 p.m. in the district final.
CLASS TWO, DISTRICT SIX — NORTH TECH opens Thursday, 4 p.m. against top-seeded Duchesne at Lutheran St. Charles County, who hosted St. Charles West at 6 p.m. The winners will return to Lutheran St. Charles Saturday, Oct. 24, 2 p.m. in the district final.
The Class Two, District Five winner hosts the Class Two, District Six winner in the Oct. 27 Sectional for the right to play in the Oct. 31 Quarterfinal, site to be determined. The State Semifnals, Third Place and Championship games are Nov. 6-7 at WWT Soccer Park.
CLASS THREE, DISTRICT FOUR — HAZELWOOD EAST plays Saturday, 4 p.m. against Gateway STEM at St. Mary’s, who opened at 2 p.m. against Vashon. Winners return to St. Marys Oct. 27, 7 p.m. and the winner plays at the District Three champion Nov. 3
CLASS THREE, DISTRICT SEVEN — McCLUER opens Oct. 26, 5 p.m. against top-seeded Fort Zumwalt South at Fort Zumwalt East, who plays at 7 p.m. against St. Charles. Winners return to Zumwalt East Oct. 28 7 p.m. for the right to host the Nov. 3 Sectional against the District Eight champion.
Class Three Nov. 3 winners play in the Nov. 7 Quarterfinals, sites to be determined. The State Semfinals, Third Place and Championship games will be Nov. 13-14 at WWT Soccer Park.
