Hazelwood District Seeking Firm to Conduct Search for New Superintendent

The Hazelwood School District (HSD) Board of Education has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a highly qualified search firm to assist in finding a new superintendent for the district. The targeted date for the change in leadership is July, 2016.

This will be the third superintendent for the district in less than 5 years. Currently, Ingrid Clark-Jackson is serving as acting superintendent. She had planned to retire last summer but delayed that action to replace retiring superintendent Grayling Tobias. Tobias was named superintendent in April 2012. He was placed on medical leave in mid-April 2015, then on paid administrative leave beginning May 19. He formally retired June 2 after serving in various positions in the Hazelwood District since 2002.

The RFP and information on how to submit a response are available at the HSD website at www.hazelwoodschools.org, under Board of Education, and Superintendent Search.

The deadline to respond is Oct. 16 at 3 p.m.
