The Young Zoo Friends will host Jammin’ at the Zoo Wednesday, Aug. 26, from 6 to 10 p.m. (rain or shine) at the Saint Louis Zoo. This 21-and-up celebration offers the opportunity to enjoy music and sample beer and wine from more than 10 wineries and St. Louis microbreweries in a casual/dressy casual atmosphere.
For entertainment, there will be Sarah Jane & The Blue Notes, 3 Pedros, and Video DJ Todd Thomas. In addition, guests should be on the lookout for pop-up performances throughout the evening.
Wine and beer sampling will be open from 6 to 8 p.m., while supplies last. Eighty-five different wines will be available. In addition, wine by the glass and bottle, beer, soda and frozen specialty drinks along with various food offerings will be available for purchase throughout the evening.
Visitors can bring their own picnic supper or baskets, but no outside alcoholic beverages will be permitted. Dinner at the Lakeside Café Patio has been canceled.
Admission for Zoo members is $10 and non-members $20. The price includes admission to the event, wine and beer tasting from 6 to 8 p.m. (while supplies last), live entertainment and the opportunity to purchase wine, beer and food. An optional dinner buffet is available for an additional $25. Tickets can be purchased in advance online or at the door. Parking is free. Proceeds benefit the St. Louis Zoo.
