Crisis Nursery Celebrity Waiters Night

Celebrities Raise Donations for Crisis Nursery at West County Center Aug. 6

Have a light breakfast, opt-out of a pound-packing lunch, and join Saint Louis Crisis Nursery for dinner during the 25th Annual Celebrity Waiters Night on Thursday, Aug. 6, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. at West County Center. More than 100 national and local celebrities will engage supporters for donations to benefit Crisis Nursery’s child abuse prevention programs.

Dinner will be held at three West County Center restaurants: BRAVO! Cucina Italiana, J. Gilbert’s Wood-Fired Steaks & Seafood, and McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood & Steaks. The event also includes live entertainment, a Happy Hour and After Party, raffle items including Cardinals Tickets, half-carat diamond studs, a diamond bracelet and necklace set, a Coach tote and more.

Since 1986, Crisis Nursery has provided 24/7 emergency intervention, respite care and support for families with children ages birth through 12 years. A community staple, Crisis Nursery is credited with preventing the abuse or neglect of 99 percent of children while their families are benefitting from the organization’s programs.

Co-chairs for the event are East St. Louis Mayor Emeka Jackson-Hicks, St. Louis County Executive Steve Stenger, and St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay.

“I encourage everyone to take part in Crisis Nursery’s Celebrity Waiters Night,” said County Executive Stenger. “It means the world to the children and families who will benefit from intervention and support services that the Crisis Nursery provides,”
