Class Two, District Four Boys
Tennis at Forestwood Park, May 11

Boys Class Two, District Four Boys Team Tennis will be a one-day event and that will take place Monday, May 11 at Forestwood Park in Ferguson, and Hazelwood East will be the district host.
The team tournament is based on dual meets with as many as six singles and three doubles matches in a best of three format and the first team to win five matches wins the dual meet.
The team tournament at Forestwood Park begins at 3:30 as host Hazelwood East meets McCluer and the winner faces top-seeded Hazelwood West at 5 p.m. Also second-seeded McCluer North takes on Hazelwood Central at 4 p.m. and the winner faces the winner of the 5 p.m. match for the district team title at 6:30 p.m.
The Class Two, District Four Team Champion advances to the four-team Sectional One tournament, which includes a quarterfinal round, likely to be played May 23 at a site to be chosen by the Class Two, District One Team Champion. The winner of the quarterfinal round advances to the State Team Championship Tournament, May 28 at Cooper Tennis Complex, Springfield.
After the team tournament the Individual Tournament takes place as each of the teams in Class Two, District Four — Hazelwood Central, Hazelwood East, Hazelwood West, McCluer North and McCluer — will need to enter as many as two singles players and two doubles teams and each player can play in only singles or doubles, not both. The Individual Tournament, to be played on a site at the discretion of host Hazelwood East, must be completed by May 16.
The top two singles players and top two doubles teams, winners and runners up, from Class Two, Distict Four will advance to the Sectional round at a date to be decided — May 18, 19 or 20 — at a site to be determined by Class Two, District Three host Chaminade. The Sectionals will be one round and the winners will advance to the State Individual Tournament May 29-30 at the Cooper Tennis Complex, Springfield.
CLASS ONE, DISTRICT FOUR — LUTHERAN NORTH is part of a six-team district hosted by John Burroughs with Clayton, Soldan-International Studies, Sumner and University City competing. As of 1:49 p.m., May 4, the seedings, pairings and sites for the team tournament were unavaillable, the District Four team champion advances to the Sectional One team tournament May 23 at a site chosen by the Class One, District One champion and the sectional (quarterfinal) winner plays in the State Championships, May 28 in Springfield.
The Class One, District Four Singles and Doubles champions and runner ups, to be played no later than May 16, will advance to the Sectional at a date to be decided — May 18, 19 or 20 — at the Francis Park Tennis Courts, St. Louis, hosted by Distrtict Three host Bishop DuBourg. Two singles winners and two doubles winners advance to state, May 29-30 in Springfield.
