Ferguson Youth Initiative To be Honored by FOCUS

The Ferguson Youth Initiative (FYI) has been recognized as part of a select group of individuals and organizations, dedicated to making the St. Louis Region a better place.

On May 7, FOCUS St. Louis, a top leadership organization, will honor 20 individuals, organizations, and initiatives that are making a difference in St. Louis at the 18th annual What’s Right with the Region awards ceremony.

Ferguson City Councilman Dwayne James says, “This is an honor to be chosen and recognized for our efforts working with the youth in the City of Ferguson.”

FYI is being recognized for addressing problems, developing initiatives, and making lasting improvements in the City of Ferguson. FYI is a non-profit group supporting the Ferguson Youth Advisory Board and the City of Ferguson to better engage youth in the community.

Outstanding leaders and organizations will be recognized at the 18th annual What’s Right with the Region awards ceremony on Thursday, May 7. The event begins at 5pm and is being held at the Sheldon Concert Hall at 3648 Washington Blvd in St. Louis.

Tickets are $50 per person and $35 for Young Professionals under 30.
