Holly Jolly Christmas Season Party
It’s always been my favorite time of the year when we bring on the Holly Jollies and celebrate a Dining Divas Christmas. This Dining Divas event is one not to be missed and as much fun as we have this night, all year long some real holiday characters show up.
Like the Cultured Diva who after one drink could work for Santa as the Blitzen Diva. And there’s the Italian Diva who could also join Santa’s reindeer crew as the Cupid Diva. She’s been scheming to set up the Newcomer Diva’s dad with a couple of the Single Divas.
Then we have the Teacher Diva who hates the cold weather, so she could be known as the Heat Miser Diva, except she loves Christmas. One of our Young Divas as Cindy Lou Diva could sway any Grinch to love this season with her wonderful holiday spirit. Put the Sneaky Diva in Meet Me in St. Louis, and she’d make a good Tootsie Diva with all her shenanigans, and the Ginger Diva could join her as her sister, Rose Diva.
The Married Diva makes a lovely Ellen Griswold Diva as she’s a supportive wife to her own “Clark”. The Traveling Diva would make a charming in-law to Ellen as Nora Griswold Diva, and she’s probably thrown back a few drinks in her day and smoked a few cigs too! What a fantastic National Lampoon remake they’d make!
The Caretaker Diva knows how important love, marriage, and family are which makes her and Donna Reed fantastic Mary Divas. And if any type of rifle is on your Christmas list, the Straight-Forward Diva in her best Mrs. Parker Diva voice would be sure to tell you “You’ll shoot your eye out.” What a great Christmas Story she’d have to tell!
This year, the Dining Divas Christmas was everything I hoped for and more. More laughter. More excitement. More joy. And we also had more tears. Some may have been tears of sadness, but most were tears of gratefulness. And we all would agree that even though 2014 may have been a difficult year for this Healing Diva, like the famous George Bailey said, it really is a wonderful life.
