The annual Christmas Concert at Old St. Ferdinand Shrine will be Sunday Dec. 14 at 3 p.m.. This year there are four groups providing Christmas music. They are the combined choirs of Florissant Valley Baptist Church, St. Sabina Catholic Church and Florissant Presbyterian Church under the direction of Tammy Stevenson and the Choir of Sacred Heart Church under the direction of John Meehan.

The afternoon will be filled with many traditional carols and excerpts from Handel’s Messiah ending in the Hallelujah Chorus. The Shrine will be decorated in the style of a 19th century Christmas and the beautifully restored nativity will be a focal point.

Immediately following the concert there will be a reception with light refreshments in the 1880 schoolhouse. The concert is free and reservations are not needed. Contact 314-837-2110 or oldstferdinandshrine@gmail.com for questions.
