Operation Christmas Child Collection Week

Churches, businesses, and homes in the St. Louis area will serve as collection sites for Operation Christmas Child (OCC). These drop-off locations hope to collect 40,325 gift-filled shoeboxes for children in need during OCC’s National Collection Week, Nov. 17–24.

In preparation for National Collection Week, hundreds of individuals, families and groups are filling empty shoeboxes with gifts of toys, school supplies, hygiene items and notes of encouragement to help hurting children. OCC delivers these gift-filled shoeboxes to remind these kids they are loved and not forgotten.

Since 1993, OCC has delivered gift-filled shoeboxes to more than 113 million children in over 150 countries.

“Operation Christmas Child is a fun project that makes a tangible difference in the life of a child facing difficult circumstances,” said Vicki Stamps, St. Louis Area OCC Coordinator.
