McCluer North, Trinity Catholic and Incarnate Word Academy each earned number one seeds in Girls Volleyball District Tournament which begins October 20 and ends no later than October 23.
McCluer North is the top seed in Class Four, District Five, an all-Suburban XII (12) Conference district that will be played Oct. 20, 22 at McCluer High School and will likely be held at the M-4 Gym on the east end of the campus. McCluer North will play Oct. 22 at 4 p.m. against the winner of the Oct. 20, 4:15 contest between McCluer and Hazelwood East. Also on Oct. 20 Hazelwood Central plays Riverview Gardens at 5:45 and the winner plays Oct. 22 against second-seeded Hazelwood West at 5:30 preceding the Championship Match at 7 p.m.
Trinity Catholic is the top seed in Class Two, District Five and all matches will be played Oct. 20 at Vashon High with Metro High serving as the district host. Trinity will be playing around 5:30 against the winner of the Cardinal Ritter-Northwest Academy of Law which will start around 4:30. Following Trinity is second-seeded Lutheran North playing around 6:30 against the 3:30 tournament opener between Metro and College Prep at Madison and the Championship match closes the day at 7:30.
Incarnate Word Academy is the top seed in Class Four, District Six at Francis Howell North and will play Oct. 22, 4:30 against the winner of the Oct 21, 5 p.m. Parkway North-Pattonville match. Also Fort Zumwalt East plays Ritenour Oct. 21, 6:30, the winner plays second-seeded Francis Howell North Oct. 22, 6 p.m. followed by the Championship match at 7:30 p.m.
NORTH TECHNICAL will open Class Three, District Six, Oct. 21 at Duchesne against McCluer South-Berkeley at 4 p.m. followed at 5:30 with Orchard Farm playing against Jennings. On Oct. 23 top-seeded Duchesne plays North Tech or McCluer South-Berkeley at 4 p.m. followed by second-seeded St. Charles against Orchard Farm or Jennings at 5:30 and the championship match at 7 p.m.
District Five winners will host the Oct. 25 Sectionals, opening against the District Seven winners at 1 p.m. or 3 p.m., followed by the winners of District Six against the winners of District Eight at 2:30 or 4:30 and concludes with the Quarterfinals, times TBD. The Quarterfinal winners will advance to the State Championships, in the Show-Me Center at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, with Round-Robin Semifinal matches on Oct. 31 and the Championship and Third Place matches on Nov. 1.
