The Florissant Parks and Recreation Department is offering a Bird Watching Class – Fall Migrant Birds, on Saturday, Oct. 4 from 10:30 a.m. – noon at the Sunset Park Nature Lodge. Pre-registration is required and registration is open now. The fee is $5 for residents and $8 for non-residents.

Learn about migration and why the St. Louis area is an important stopover point for the birds in the spring and fall. Afterwards participants will take a stroll on the path behind the Nature Lodge in search of migrating birds. Binoculars will be needed. Field guides can be borrowed for the duration of the walk. This is a leisurely walk.
