ADVANCE LIFE SUPPORT equipment is being added to pumpers in the Black Jack Fire Protection District. The new life support system was dedicated Tuesday at a ribbon cutting at fire station #3 on N. Lindbergh announcing the new service. The equipment, which includes EKG monitoring, AED and necessary drugs to sustain life during emergencies, was displayed on the first truck to receive the equipment. Funding to purchase AFS equipment, eventually for the district fire trucks, came from a 40-cent tax levy for ambulance and medical defibrillators, approved by district voters in April. Left to right are Asst. Chief Ken Corbin, a state official, Battalion Chief Brian Hokamp, paramedic Roger Ellison and Black Jack Fire District Chief Mike Gantner.
