Operation Food Search Continues distribution
Operation Food Search, the largest distributor of free food in the bi-state region, is collaborating with several local businesses and organizations to provide free food and household essentials to families in Ferguson and surrounding areas.
Operation Food Search supports two food pantries in Ferguson and another six in the surrounding area, which also serve Ferguson residents. While most media attention recently has been focused on Ferguson, the need is affecting others as well.
“The economic impact of recent events in Ferguson will be trickling down to dinner tables for months to come,” said Sunny Schaefer, executive director for Operation Food Search, “impacting families who live, work, learn and shop in Ferguson and neighboring communities. As a direct result of disruption in services, there is an even greater demand for food support.”
There are several pantries offering free food and basic necessities in the Ferguson area through Operation Food Search. To learn more about Operation Food Search, visit www.OperationFood
