Cast For Muny’s ‘Grease’ Named, ‘The Office’ Phyllis Smith Returns

Broadway sensation and long-time Muny performer Taylor Louderman leads this phenomenal cast as Sandy Dumbrowski in The Muny’s 2014 production of Grease.

Brandon Espinoza makes his Muny debut as Danny Zuko, while the beloved Phyllis Smith, star of the hit television series The Office, returns to The Muny as Miss Lynch. Ariana DeBose, recently seen on Broadway in Motown the Musical, will play Rizzo, and Drew Foster, who played in both the Muny production and national tour of West Side Story, is Kenickie. Matt Saldivar will play Vince Fontaine in the 6th production of The Muny’s 96th summer season.

“This is a knock-out cast of exciting young talent,” said Muny artistic director and executive producer Mike Isaacson. “Denis has set out to create a Muny Grease that promises more fun and style than ever before. With these fantastic triple-threat performers, this Grease will be the word.”

One of the most popular shows in Muny history, Grease returns for nine nights in its first Muny production since 2007. Packed with explosive energy, Grease takes you back to a simpler time as “bad boy” Danny and “the girl next door” Sandy fall in love all over again.

Tickets for Grease (July 31 – August 8) are now available online, by phone at 314-534-1111 or   The Muny Box Office.
