F-F School Board Earns State Leadership ’08 Team Award

The Ferguson-Florissant School District Board of Education has earned the Missouri School Boards’ Association’s Education Leadership Team Award for 2008.

Just four of the 524 school boards across Missouri were selected for this honor.

Ferguson-Florissant School Board President Les Lentz said the award reflects the group’s dedication to success for every child.

“Our group is totally focused on student achievement,” Lentz said. “We work together with a single vision.”

Ferguson-Florissant Supt. Jeffrey Spiegel said, “Our board does more than put goals on paper. Our board lives the goals, providing the leadership necessary to translate our policies into measurable results. The district’s successful performance could not happen without the board’s wholehearted support.”

To earn the Education Leadership Team Award, school board members must meet specific Missouri School Boards’ Association criteria, including required training and attendance at state and regional meetings.
