Nominations Sought for SLCC Distinguished Alumni Award

The St. Louis Community College Foundation Board of Directors is seeking nominations for the first annual Distinguished Alumni Award.

Designed to honor alumni for their professional and community accomplishments, up to five awards will be presented at St. Louis Community College Foundation’s annual gala, “Taste of Class,” on Saturday, Sept. 13, at the college’s Forest Park campus.
Although nominees must have attended St. Louis Community College, they are not required to be a graduate of the college. However, preference will be given to those who have earned a certificate or completed a degree from programs such as education, public and community service, sports, media, government, business, healthcare, arts and entertainment.
An independent panel of judges will review applications based on criteria, including the individual’s professional accomplishments and contributions to the community which transcend the norm.
Nomination forms and more detailed award qualifications are available via the college’s Web site, www.stlcc.edu/foundation, or by calling 314-539-5145.
Completed nomination forms, which must be postmarked by June 30, should be sent to: St. Louis Community College Foundation Distinguished Alumni Award, 300 S. Broadway, St. Louis, MO 63102.
