The City of Florissant and Midwest Recycling Center to Host Electronics Recycling Drive

Mayor Thomas P. Schneider announced last week that the City of Florissant will again be hosting a major electronics recycling collection event for City of Florissant residents on Saturday, April 5 from 9 a.m. – 2. p.m. Residents will need to provide proof of residency by providing staff a current resident card or a Meridian Waste or utility bill and a driver’s license.

The recycling event will be held in St. Ferdinand Park at the rear parking lot, rain or shine. Signs will be posted at park entrances to direct residents.

Acceptable items to be collected are computers and all of their accessories, networking and telecommunications equipment, phones (home and cell), clocks, TVs (one per vehicle), VCRs, DVD players, stereos, A/V equipment including cable and satellite boxes, home electronics, rechargeable batteries, fax machines, adapters/chargers and household appliances.

Midwest Recycling Center will have equipment and employees on hand to assist in the drop off process.
