Fiesta in Florissant is June 21-22 at Knights of Columbus Park
The eighth annual Fiesta in Florissant will be held at Knights of Columbus Park on Saturday, June 21 and Sunday, June 22. The opening ceremony will begin at noon on Saturday with opening remarks by Mayor Robert Lowery. Festival hours are Saturday, from 10 a.m.-10 p.m., and Sunday, from 11 a.m.-9 p.m.
The two-day celebration will feature entertainment with live Latino bands and dancers from various countries. Latin and South American food and beverages will be available, plus folk arts and crafts, Cardinals Kids Corner, a petting zoo, and information booths from cultural organizations. The Cardinals Kids Corner will feature pinatas, games, face painting, Dora the Explorer, and the petting zoo.
A dance off competition will be held on Saturday at 3 p.m. and on Sunday at 5 p.m. with prizes for the winners.
Funds raised from the festival are used to fund scholarships distributed to college-bound students and underprivileged children.
